Georgia Goodfellow
Georgia grew up in North Wales where she began piano lessons at the age of eight and drum kit lessons at fourteen. Although always intending for music to remain a hobby, in 2005 she found herself beginning a combined honours degree in French and Music at Southampton University. Here she studied classical piano under the tutorship of renowned pianist, David Owen Norris, as well as various other modules including harmony and music history. During this time she also achieved ABRSM grade 8 piano and grade 5 music theory.
Upon graduating in 2009, Georgia moved to London where she spent fourteen years working as a piano, music theory and drum kit teacher in a variety of settings including music schools, secondary schools and private tuition sessions. In London, Georgia was also a regular performer at festivals and events, performing swing classics with a singer.
Georgia likes to dabble in other instruments too and has grade 3 saxophone and grade 2 flute as well as being a keen ukulele player. She feels learning new skills helps her understand the struggles new students may face and keeps her teaching approach fresh and adaptable.
In 2023, Georgia relocated to Brixham and now divides her time between music teaching and working for a youth charity. She still likes to perform at the occasional festival when time allows!
